A systematic series of simple on-camera exercises, each one built on the one before. Much like a dance
class, each movement has a count. We learn each movement as a "vocabulary word." Then string the "words"
together to form a phrase...and then a sentence. It's the language of movement -- more specifically, creating character
through movement. In a way, the class is a review of what you already know from developing
as a child. You first breathed, and tried to focus your eyes. Then you bounced, learned to stand, walk, talk, run. Only now
you will transfer your experience to the screen...through your arm. It can be a little tricky at times. Seldom easy but always
simple. And most definitely fun!
There are also life lessons along the way, as well as
behind-the-scenes Muppet stories that will enrich your understanding of the art of TV and film puppetry.
